with George Sawaya, MD
The UCSF National Center of Excellence in
Women's Health and Women's Forum West, in collaboration with
the Financial Women's Association are proud to present Dr. Sawaya leading a conversation about screening for breast,
uterine, cervical, and ovarian cancers. He will talk about
and offer insights into recent recommendations issued by the
U.S. Preventive Services Task Force.
The evening promises to be most enlightening and interactive
and we encourage you to come with questions.
About the Speaker
Dr. George Sawaya is an obstetrician-gynecologist and
an associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics,
Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences. His main research
interest is in cervical cancer screening with particular
interest in screening older women, cost-effectiveness and
cost-utility as well as new approaches to population-based
screening. He is the director San Francisco General
Hospital's Colposcopy and Cervical Dysplasia Clinic.
Dr. Nancy Milliken, vice dean of the UCSF School of
Medicine, and Director of the UCSF National Center of
Excellence in Women's Health, and a WFW member, will
moderate this important panel.
