of Citibank California. Ms. Macieira-Kaufmann will discuss

challenges and trends of the current economic environment,
Ms. Macieira-Kaufmann will address the financial services
sector, turning a business "up," as well as her path to Citi..
About the Speaker
Rebecca Macieira-Kaufmann
is President of Citibank California, a division of Citibank
North America. She is responsible for the bank's branches in
California and Nevada, which provide a full range of
financial service products - including deposit, investment,
insurance and lending products - to consumers and
businesses. Ms. Macieira-Kaufmann joined Citibank in 2008.
Before coming to Citibank, Ms. Macieira-Kaufmann
was an Executive Vice President and Head of the Small
Business Segment at Wells Fargo. She joined Wells Fargo in
1996 as a Vice President and Director of Marketing for Wells
Fargo Insurance Services. Before joining Wells Fargo, she
spent three years at Providian Financial, serving the last
year as Vice President of Customer Marketing. Prior to that,
she was Senior Engagement Manager at Retail Solutions
Management Consultants in London, England.
Ms. Macieira-Kaufmann graduated cum laude
from Brown University in Providence, R.I., where she earned
a Bachelor of Arts degree in Semiotics. She was also a
Fulbright Scholar at the University of Helsinki, Finland.
She went on to earn an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate
School of Business, Stanford University.
Ms. Macieira-Kaufmann is an active member of
the community, serving on the boards of directors of
numerous organizations, including the Fulbright Association,
the Bay Area Council, the California Chamber of Commerce and
Congregation Emanu-El, San Francisco. She is also active in
many community and business groups, including the Financial
Women's Association, Wexner Heritage Foundation and the
Young Presidents' Organization.
