"Speaking from Strength"

A Professional Development Series Event
on
Tuesday, March 31st 2009

In this high-impact, interactive workshop, presentation coach Judy Grant will reveal the core speaking strengths that form the powerbase of every effective public speaker. You will identify your own speaking strengths and score the strengths of well known power speakers such as President Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Steve Jobs. You will gain a clear understanding of the benefits of speaking from your strengths and you will leave with a useful tool for evaluating your performance after your next presentation.

About the Speaker

Judy Grant brings 20 years of experience in front of and behind the camera to the training of business professionals, public figures, and on-air talent. Her award-winning career covers all facets of news media, from reporting and television news anchoring to program management and producing.

After her initial work as an anchor and news director at KELO-TV in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Grant entered the national market at CBS Network News in New York. As Night News Manager, she wrote and produced for some of the biggest names in broadcasting, including Dan Rather, Charles Osgood, and Bill Kurtis.

From there, she joined WCAU-TV in Philadelphia as Senior Producer of an award-winning weekly news series. Grant then became News Director of Sacramento's CBS affiliate, winning the California Associated Press Broadcast award for Spot News Coverage while the station reached the highest ratings in its history.

Grant served as Vice President of News and Production for Preview Media, San Francisco, the largest producer of travel programming. Here she produced and managed program productions, including a national series with Christopher Reeve. Grant ran the 24-hour news and information channel, BayTV in San Francisco, before founding Grant and Associates in 1997.

Since turning her talents exclusively to media and presentation training and consultation, Grant has worked with CEO's, senior executives, major city reporters, anchors, sports figures, and New York Times' best-selling authors. She pioneered a ground-breaking method focused on identifying and amplifying a speaker's strengths that produces rapid, lasting results. Grant is a popular speaker in her own right and is passionate about helping people find their voice.
