Present
An Industry Leadership Series Event:

"Cultivate Your Network Before You Need It!"

Formal and informal networks are critical to career success. They provide access to information, informal knowledge, and connections to opportunities. However, not everyone is equally adept at building their personal networks. Moreover, research shows that women's organizational networks tend to be more sparse and marginalized than those of men. The most obvious choices for network building are not always the smartest, whereas sometimes the least apparently promising connections can prove to be quite fruitful. join us on Tuesday, March 11th in San Francisco for an evening of advice featuring a great panel that will discuss building and maintaining your personal network to maximize opportunities and success.

About the Georgetown Women’s Leadership Initiative:

Launched in the spring of 2003, the Georgetown University Women's Leadership Initiative (GUWLI) represents a partnership between the President's Office and the McDonough School of Business, dedicated to promoting the development and advancement of women leaders. The program aims to contribute to the social and economic progression of women by addressing their intellectual and practical needs. GUWLI provides a forum for dialogue, for the dissemination of knowledge and best practices, and for skill-building for the women leaders of today and tomorrow. GUWLI serves as a link to world-class leaders and creates opportunities through conferences, workshops, and networking events for these women to collaborate with other women of influence throughout the world.
