The Financial Women's
Association Of San Francisco
presents
A Professional Development Series Event
In Partnership with Queen's Bench Bar Association
"Customizing Career Paths to Address Today's
Nontraditional Workforce"
Sweeping changes in the way we work, live, and build
careers are not just on the horizon; they are here, and here
to stay. Knowledge professionals - who are in
ever-decreasing supply and ever-increasing demand - are
redefining what it means to build a career, and the
distinction between work and life is becoming increasing
blurred.
Sydney Firestone and Sonya Murphy will describe the mass
career customization framework and how Deloitte is using it
to manage the transition from the corporate ladder model of
career progression to a corporate lattice model. The
corporate lattice organization recognizes that increasingly,
the career journey of knowledge workers will be a journey of
climbs, lateral moves, and planned descents.
Please join us on April 30th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
at Charles Schwab & Company in San Francisco to learn:
* How the proverbial corporate ladder is evolving into a
corporate lattice,
* How business leaders who recognize the effects of these
workforce trends
can gain competitive edge, and
* How career customization increases employee job
satisfaction and creates
long-term relationships with
high-performing employees.
Before the program, we will network with members of the
Queen's Bench Bar Association of the Bay Area. Queen's Bench
was formed in 1921 by a group of women lawyers frustrated by
the resistance of male lawyers to their participation in the
local bar association. Queen's Bench seeks to advance the
interests of women in law and society, and plays an integral
part in furthering the progress of women in the legal
profession.
