East Bay Group
Presents
"A Women-Centered Perspective on Economics"
An Industry Leadership Series Event
on
Tuesday, October 21st, 2008
Come hear Professor Siobhan Reilly, Associate Professor of Economics at
Mills College, share her research, which takes a non-traditional approach to
economics. In focusing on the allocation of resources thorough
non-market mechanisms, she has studied a variety of topics that touch on the
economic well-being of women and families. Her research has touched on child
support guidelines, the effects of liberalizing divorce laws, the well-being of
stepchildren, teenagers' sex partner counts, and the effects of welfare benefits
on family composition. Additionally, Nancy Thornborrow, Dean of the Lorry I.
Lokey Graduate School of Business, will give us a sneak peak of the new business
school building.
