The Financial Women's
Association Of San Francisco
Presents
"Becoming a Person of Influence"
An Professional Development Series Event
on
Thursday, October 9th, 2008
Women who break through into senior-level leadership get there with a
reputation for delivering results. They are comfortable gaining and using power.
They come across as credible, and strategic. When they speak, others listen.
They have a "seat at the table," and they use it to make a difference and leave
a legacy.
Join us for this event featuring Jo Miller, CEO of
Women's Leadership Coaching,
who will explore ways to gain credibility, get buy-in for ideas, and make a
larger impact in business through understanding the mechanisms of power and
influence.
Topics Jo will cover in her presentation include:
- How men and women can perceive power and influence
differently,
- How a person's behavior can either reinforce or
undermine their credibility and authority,
- The six sources of influence,
- How to identify the flow of influence in your
organization, and
- Self-assessment and identification of areas for
development.
You will leave with immediate action steps to take to increase your personal
influence, have a voice, get your ideas and opinions heard, and make a greater
impact on the business results of your organization.
