"LifeMoxie! Ambition on a Mission – 9 Strategies for
Taking Life by the Horns"
A Professional Development Series Event
on
Wednesday, June 25th, 2008
Moxie – the determined, courageous,
can-do-in-the-face-of-any-circumstance approach that caused
Oprah Winfrey, Jack Welch, Lance Armstrong, Madonna, Eleanor
Roosevelt, and Nelson Mandela to make it to the top of their
game. There is a secret formula and 9 essential strategies
to creating the same moxie that these individuals have.
What is moxie? It's that feeling of invincibility,
spontaneity and "I can do anything" that we all had as
children not yet tainted by disappointment, fear, and
questions about our own competence. It's that feeling of
passion, excitement and optimism which may have infused our
lives but became lost in the quest for personal or financial
security. Ann Tardy says, "It is the determination and
courage to move forward in the face of all that life throws
your way. It is operating from a strength of purpose;
following from your heart and soul, not your circumstances;
and facing difficulty with courage and grit."
LifeMoxie! Ambition on a Mission gets you ready and revved
up to feel the fear and jump anyway; to make smart mistakes
and bounce back; to get a kick in the pants and a kiss on
the cheek.
Please join us at Mercedes Restaurant in San Francisco to
hear Ann Tardy teach the art of moxie and learn the 9
essential strategies to creating your own moxie and the
unstoppable edge you need to achieve the success you crave
at work, at home, in relationships, and in life.
About the Speaker
Ann Tardy is the founder and Chief Catalyst of LifeMoxie!,
the people impact company. In her commitment to change
people's attitude and actions, she increases individuals'
engagement, productivity, and effectiveness in their work
and their lives. Ann delivers on this commitment by creating
strategic people solutions including mentoring programs,
skills trainings, and sharing the art of moxie! Ann provides
people with the tools to play a bigger game and make a
greater impact.
Prior to launching LifeMoxie!, Ann was an attorney for 14
years, practicing corporate securities law at Pillsbury
Madison & Sutro LLP and at Fenwick & West LLP. Subsequently,
she managed the legal departments of a start-up that fell to
the dotcom bust and a start-up that squeaked by to IPO,
before launching her own law firm representing entrepreneurs
of all shapes and sizes. During her tenure as in-house
counsel, Ann also served for five years as the co-Director
of the Entrepreneurial Education program at a girls' middle
school, training 12-year-old girls how to start and run
businesses.
Ann earned an accounting degree from the University of
Illinois, a law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, a
CPA from the State of Illinois, and licenses to practice law
in Illinois and California.
Ann was honored as an "Outstanding Business Woman of the
Year" by the American Business Women's Association, and she
is a featured author in "Best of the Best," published in
2008 by Insight Publishing.
