The Financial Women's
Association Of San Francisco - Silicon Valley Group
presents
An Industry Leadership Series Event:
"Peeling Back The Credit Crunch Onion: What Lies
Ahead?"
Register now for our panel on Tuesday, November
13th in Silicon Valley discussing the origins of the current
credit crunch, what impact it actually has had on California
consumers, and what some of the unexpected implications
might be for 2008.
Dr. Stephen Levy, Director, Center for Continuing Study
of The California Economy, Susan McHan, CEO & President,
Opes Advisors, Inc., and Sharon Simonson, senior real estate
reporter for the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal,
will share their insights and debate the impact of the
credit crunch on California businesses, housing, and overall
consumer behavior.
Much has been written about the drastic shifts in credit
availability and the overall influence on the US economy.
California consumers have been hit particularly hard given
the high cost of real estate and our growing population.
Bringing the discussion down to a "real world" focus, the
discussion will address questions such as:
What does the continued credit crunch mean for Silicon
Valley vs. the rest of California?
What can the housing market expect in 2008?
What are the macroeconomic trends that led to our
current situation and how should they influence your near-
and long-term business decisions?
What are the real impacts and implications that every
financial professional should focus on as they plan for
2008?
Our expert panelists will shed light on all of these
questions and throw some provocative new scenarios into the
mix. It should make for a very thought-provoking evening!
